Life after 40 years of work

Take any group of 100 people at the start of their working career and follow them for 40 years until they reach retirement age and here’s what you’ll find, according to the Social Security Administration:

  • Only 1 will be wealthy
  • 4 will be financially secure
  • 5 will continue working, not because they want to but because they have to
  • 36 will be dead
  • 54 will be dead broke – dependent on the meager Social Security checks, relatives, friends and even charity for a minimum standard of living.

There is NO blackboard in the sky.

"There is no blackboard in the sky on which God has written your purpose, your mission in life. There's no blackboard in the sky that says, "Neale Donald Walsch. Handsome guy who lived in the first part of the twenty-first century, who .. ."And then there's a blank. And all I have to do to really understand what I'm doing here, why I'm here, is to find that blackboard and find out what God really has in mind for me. But the blackboard doesn't exist.

So your purpose is what you say it is. Your mission is the mission you give yourself Your life will be what you create it as, and no one will stand in judgment of it, now or ever."

- Neale Donald Walsch

Religion and Patriotism in a personal note

Religions, belief systems cannot be presented with facts. The only evidences are provided by results of people's lives, way of their thinking, way of their behavior. On that scale rating, in my life I have not met worst people than "Jesus-Freaks". Those Christians are the most afraid, scared, greedy, judgmental, spiteful people I ever met. I have met Muslims, they are saints compare to the Christians I met. I met Wiccans their lives and reflection of thoughts are far long beating Christians, just like Buddhists and Atheists. No facts or proves, but as Jefferson said: "For it is in our lives, and not from our words, that our religion must be judged.” And that is how I look at it.

As for me. No religion there. Nothing we could name anyway. My life started to get better immediately I threw Christianity out on the window in 2000. The next 8 years was going up on the hill. Then 2008 I got a bad hit, I messed up a few things and gone down on a spiral, my gf broke up with me I almost married to, lost most of my investment on wall street and lost my job eventually. And now things getting better again. But it has nothing to do with God. Anything I every achieved or lost in my life was fully my own responsibility and only I can get credit or blame for that. If I believe in something, that's me.

But again everyone finds their path. There is NOT only one way to true happiness. Many. So people choose whatever they feel comfortable with. You choose your way I choose mine, no one has to convince anyone. Without facts.

As for USA, well it's a country with people in it. Nothing special. It's a place to live and die (although I'm not sure about the last one), and if things turn out the way that I won't feel good here anymore, I'll just leave. There are 190+ countries in the world and I lived only in 3 so far. If the hatred and the so called "patriotism" will keep going the way like this, with that deeply arrogant attitude that USA is the greatest nation and every other countries are insignificant, I'll move to Mexico or Canada. I have been thinking of Peru too. Beautiful country.

Fortunately there are still a lot of people here who are able to look at others as a human being, without labeling them by country or origin, so it's still fine. As it's been said: "You can't choose where to born, but you can choose where to live." And I stay where I am happy :) If things are happy here, I love it. But most importantly I love peace... and miss it often.

History of Yule

The Pagan holiday called Yule takes place on the day of the winter solstice, around December 21. On that day (or close to it), an amazing thing happens in the sky. The earth's axis tilts away from the sun in the Northern Hemisphere, and the sun reaches at its greatest distance from the equatorial plane. As a festival of the Sun, the most important part of any Yule celebration is light -- candles, bonfires, and more.

In the Northern hemisphere, the winter solstice has been celebrated for millenia. The Norse people viewed it as a time for much feasting, merrymaking, and, if the Icelandic sagas are to be believed, a time of sacrifice as well. Traditional customs such as the Yule log, the decorated tree, and wassailing can all be traced back to Norse origins.

The Celts of the British Isles celebrated midwinter as well. Although little is known about the specifics of what they did, many traditions persist. According to the writings of Pliny the Elder, this is the time of year in which Druid priests sacrificed a white bull and gathered mistletoe in celebration.

Four thousand years ago, the Ancient Egyptians took the time to celebrate the daily rebirth of Horus - the god of the Sun. As their culture flourished and spread throughout Mesopotamia, other civilizations decided to get in on the sun-welcoming action. They found that things went really well... until the weather got cooler, and crops began to die. Each year, this cycle of birth, death and rebirth took place, and they began to realize that every year after a period of cold and darkness, the Sun did indeed return.

Winter festivals were also common in Greece and Rome, as well as in the British Isles. When a new religion called Christianity popped up, the new hierarchy had trouble converting the Pagans, and as such, folks didn't want to give up their old holidays. Christian churches were built on old Pagan worship sites, and Pagan symbols were incorporated into the symbolism of Christianity. Within a few centuries, the Christians had everyone worshiping a new holiday celebrated on December 25.

In some traditions of Wicca and Paganism, the Yule celebration comes from the Celtic legend of the battle between the young Oak King and the Holly King. The Oak King, representing the light of the new year, tries each year to usurp the old Holly King, who is the symbol of darkness. Re-enactment of the battle is popular in some Wiccan rituals.

Speech or not to speech... free - that is the question.

As it's well known, TV and other regular media has already been censored in USA... too, just like in a regime or communist country, but it does seem that internet is about to be censored and taken under the government's control.

Honestly I am at the point when I cannot decide if that's good or not. I came from a country where we were used to such things. That we knew we didn't have free speech and acknowledging that was fine. It's been said that the truth set you free, but it's a more proven practice now days that ignorance is the way to happiness.

You decide!

Humans are heading straight to extinct themselves...

Yup. Said many things Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum said, highlighted a few more things too. It's sad. And what's more sad is that people, even my close friends would refuse to believe, or care about info like this.

They are all relying on TV, not on internet sources. Unfortunately internet will be censored too, very soon.

One thing I disagree this man has repeated: "People do not want war". I have to correct that. People with common sense! do not want war. Unfortunately even people who has high education, sometimes are the stupidest, lacking common sense. Yes people do want war. Look at our closest friends. When it comes to Israel for example their eyes go all bloody and wants to nuke everyone around it.

People want war, because they cannot see that they are being toyed with, by false info and high level manipulation. There is nothing can be done here, just waiting until slowly humans go extinct with a nuclear war one day.

I recommend a not too well known movie, made in 1983. Day After. High Schools should play that movie to the kids but they wont.

So no nothing we can do. As you can see I laid back on such info postings, or commenting, I too have to start to go into an ignorant state where first I have to take care of my own life instead of trying to figure out how to deal with the big powers. Of course occasionally some info I see pulls me back as it just did again, but at the end of the day, ignorance is the way to happiness today.

Masonic Symbols Everywhere!

You don't know, you don't care how much power the Television and Media industry has to control you and your decisions. News, TV shows, reality shows, commercials and yes the music industry is the same. This short documentary will give you a little explanation what you are getting in daily in every minute by music and the media.

There is no such thing as freedom in USA anymore!

Folks have been surrendering their dignity in the name of safe air travel for years. Most of the time, this happens without incident. But John Tyner, who was scheduled to fly from San Diego's Lindbergh Field to South Dakota for a hunting trip on Saturday, drew the line when he was asked to submit to either a full-body scan or a very personal pat-down.
As a consequence, he was threatened with a civil suit and a $10,000 fine if he left the airport's secured area.  An in-depth article from the San Diego Union-Tribune explains that Tyner was wary of full-body scanners for both health reasons and privacy concerns. He even went so far as to check the Transportation Security Administration's website before leaving for the airport to confirm that Lindbergh Field didn't use them. (When he arrived, he was surprised to see that the airport did indeed have them.)
The incident itself started when Tyner, 31, was directed toward the full-body scanner in the security line. Tyner refused, opting instead for the traditional metal body scan and a pat-down. When he was told that the TSA agent would have to conduct a kind of "groin check." Tyner balked, saying, "You touch my junk and I'm going to have you arrested."
That's when things got interesting. Various supervisors got involved, Tyner was pulled aside, the police came by, and a supervisor told Tyner that he wouldn't be allowed to travel unless he submitted to the check. Tyner opted to leave instead, getting a full refund for the ticket, but not before he was told that if he left the secured area he would be "subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine." Tyner left anyway.
After leaving the airport, Tyner wrote up a post on his blog detailing the incident as well as posted the video of his confrontation on YouTube. Both are drawing big clicks and even bigger searches. Many commenters on Tyner's blog are applauding him for standing up for himself. One person wrote, "My full admiration. Well handled, and well done." Another pledged to give Tyner $100 if the fine is actually levied.
In an email interview, Tyner said he isn't sure of what consequences, if any, he will face. He's not aware of any legal action "beyond what was threatened in the airport." When asked whether he was concerned about the possibility of being placed on the no-fly list, he said he wasn't "that concerned." However, he says he is troubled by the government's ability to limit his methods of travel because he exercised his right to privacy.
The TSA did not immediately returned to a request for comment.

A Jealous God...

http://bible.org/seriespage/jealous-god

That just doesn't make sense to me.

"One thing He views as especially important to Him in the Old Testament is the nation Israel. She belongs to Him as His special possession, His unique treasure."
Right. Everyone else can go f... themselves? Funny that God's favorite country is one of the most violent and sadistic nations in the world.

The way that jealousy thing has been explained I can't help but understand that according to the Bible God has the very same weaknesses as any 2 cents worth human schmuck on Earth. Only diff is He has some extra powers. It just doesn't make any sense. That is not or shouldn't be the description of a supreme being. It definitely sounds like a man made fantasy creature in a fairy tale book.

"In our pagan society, Satan holds the adoration of some and superstition grips the hearts of others, alternative brands of idolatry which suggest that supernatural forces other than God have ultimate control of our lives." - Pagans do not recognize the existence of Satan. Only Christians do. And of course Satanists but none of the pagan communities affiliate with Satanism at all.

I think when a whole belief system is put into and based on a single book written by primitive people, it can be explained and understood in many different ways, just like they were teaching the Bible with a much more violent result for hundreds of years.

Is it so impossible that God is not a person-like deity but the ultimate existence of the Universe, God being everything, in everything, of everything, a divine reality without a face, human-like attitude, emotion and judgments? Is it impossible that God is being just 'It' as in everything, instead of 'Him' as a personalized image?

Is it impossible that fully comprehending and understanding God is beyond any one humans' mind, logic, imagination so people did create something they can accept, they can wrap their mind around?

Because honestly that is the only acceptable explanation I can let my mind find peace with and as I understand it many others too.

Police Brutality?

‎"It's extremely unusual..." - Chief Jack Harris.

Is it really? I'm afraid to hit search on google about police activity.

I do understand that police officers are under serious stress and pressure, but no one forced them to choose that job.

I can picture a situation when that unarmed fella would have a nasty attitude against the officer and pissed him off big time, but if an officer cannot handle that then he should sell hot dogs, or get a desk job... without a gun.

A gold rule to keep in mind though... this will not change. So officers still will be stressed out, the best thing one can do is be nice as much as possible. A nice "yes sir, no sir" attitude apparently can save your live in this country.

And to be on the funny side here is some points from Chris Rock.

Windows phone, windows death...

no words needed

Religion

I collected two videos for study on an alternative and closer to the truth approach on religion. Facts that Jesus and many other god figures were made up. People back then didn't understand science and how the Sun, the stars and the Earth related to each other. They looked up on the sky and saw the gods.

Elements of nature once believed to be gods, communication of gods. People didn't understand their purpose or how they work, therefore they created their gods out of fear.

A Muslim's words...

"I am muslim American. I was born in bangladesh which is in east asia NOT middleeast or arab. I follow god and godness. Have been running my own business in america over 8 years, have provided jobs in america. Never turned down anyone who came to me for help, it really didn't matter to me if I knew them or not. All my friends are from here and of different faith. I work hard and wish well to everyone.

This is my first posting . Just was curious to know, now that I said I am muslim, what are your thoughts on me ? are you going to lash out ill words ? wish me death ? or hate me now?

I always see hateful posting towards muslim faith, it seems to me you guys hate muslim in general, no distintion on good or bad people just in general.

Every religion has fundamentalist, my dad always told me there is only 2 kinds of people good or bad , and thats how you should differentiate people not by their faith , color, or race. To these date I live by this rule, never judged or passed a comment on anyone, unless I have valid proof of the person doing me wrong. How many of you really know a muslim and was wrong by them personally. If you can't speak from experiance just talking in context of what you hear or based on political wars, which any well rounded person knows is always shadding light on the story that benefits them. Politics is a game , its like a riddle which only shows part of the picture and lives the rest for the people who is participating in it to figure out.
If you truly want world peace then you will find a way to encourage it , by this kind of hateful statements can only pour more oil in the fire. So don't have to annswer me but do ask yourself the question , do you really want things to get better? or are you enjoying to see so much problem in this world and try to manupilate the situation to get worse if you can , by posting a hatefull remark from your own cozzy little place?

May god bless you all and forgive you all for your ignorance." - Sasha

LIKE! (Lesson to naive people on Facebook)

Be cautious about LIKE links when it tells you that you have to click on something else too to see the content.

When you see on a friend's page something you would be interested in and would share your LIKE to it as well feel free to do so. BUT! Unless you see the content right away after clicking on your the link on your friend's page, DO NOT proceed.

Appearing window saying something like this "to see the content you have to click LIKE and then SHARE" or "You have to approve you are 18 old or more. Click 'CONTINUE' if you are, 'CANCEL' if you are not." Most of those appearing windows have only the 'CONTINUE' button active. The 'CANCEL' button is just a show.

Fight the urge of your curiosity. Those LIKE links do no good and has no contributing purpose whatsoever.

Don't be naive. Think before you act!

Obama's Illegal Aunt

Wow! Very exciting article. And here comes my comment.l

1. If she is Obama's aunt, how is that possible that as a rich man he never helped her out. Family comes first! Period.

2. How on the Earth did she receive disability check. I just cannot see that possible for an illegal alien, unless she does have an SSN. Otherwise it just cannot happen. You don't have SSN you does NOT exist in this country.
And that brings up the next question. If she is illegal alien and has SSN, how did she get it? I know people and stories how ANYONE can get SSN. You just have to pay the right person. There is a human being who puts you into the computer system. Oh yes. You didn't think of that did you? Well that human being has kids and bills to pay. in 2002 getting a "legal" SSN had an about $2000 market price. Yes that very much American citizen, who loaded the information into the system took the money and made it happen. You need only one person who does that. And you are IN. Why? Because government workers don't make shit and they are humans. Corrupt.

3. To all hard core Christians did you hear what she said? "When you believe in Jesus Christ, and your almighty God, my help comes from Heaven... Yeah! You better believe!" Okay then. So whats the problem? She believes, she prays, she gets. If God listened to her or cared, he made it happen. Want to riot against God's will? Alright go for it. I don't care I am not even sure He exists anyway. But if you do, then you got all the answers in hers right there. :)

Witchcraft comments from past haunt Christine O’Donnell

So what are you gonna do? Burn her? Maybe not literary because we are more civilized now, but narrow minded Christians sure would try.
Freedom or religion my ass. Muslims, Wiccans, Hindus will never be accepted.

The Constitution of United States of America says in the Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion
But people just don't give a shit about the constitution. Never have.

Republicans, Democrats, Presidents... The Obama Deception

What you see on the TV, read in the news is nothing else but a huge show to get people into confusion, arguments, differences, while the people behind the scenes do whatever they want. On TV you see presidents, candidates, politicians bark at each other, parties and people who choose sides of those parties are in constant collision, but in the real life, where the truth lies, people who lead this country have a perfect agreement and long term team plan for us all.

Political systems, political parties are same ingredients cooked into different dishes. George W Bush and Barack Obama does the very same thing. Doesn't matter who you vote for, you will get the same result at the end. The last real president was John F Kennedy. Then the people behind the scenes showed the world that they do not want real presidents. They want puppets.

You have 2 hours? The Obama Deception

American Freedom... or is it?

"President Bush has signed executive orders giving him sole authority to impose martial law and suspend hebeas corpus. This gives him dictatorial power over the people without any checks and balances.

The government can jail you for life without charges, without trial and without lawyer.
EXECUTIVE ORDER #10999 allows the government to take over all modes of transportation.
EXECUTIVE ORDER #11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
EXECUTIVE ORDER #11921 Provides that the President can declare a state of emergency that is not defined, and Congress cannot review the action for six months.
Senate bill #1873 allows the government to vaccinate you with untested vaccines against your will.
The FDA says Americans do not have the right to know which foods are genetically modified.
Congressman Sensenbrenner's bill (HR 1528) requires you to spy on your neighbors, including wearing a wire. Refusal would be punishable by a mandatory prison sentence of at least two years.

The government claims the power to seize all financial instruments: currency, gold, silver, and everything if they deem an emergency exists. - Treasury Department Letter; August 12, 2005

There are 190 countries in the world. America has bases in 130 of them.

The Patriot Act permits:
  1. Secret FBI and police searches at your home and office.
  2. Secret government wiretaps on your phone, computer, and/or Internet activity.
  3. Secret investigations of your bank records, credit cards and other financial records.
  4. Secret investigations of your library and book activities.
  5. Secret examination of your medical, travel and business records.
  6. The freezing of funds and assets without prior notice or appeal.
  7. The creation of secret 'watch lists' that ban those named from air and other travel.
The Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper - George W Bush, Nov 2005, Capital Hill Blue

During the 1990's President Clinton monitored millions of private phone calls placed by U.S. citizens. He did this under the secret program code named Echelon. The widespread use of wiretapping Americans during the Clinton administration proves this practice was not started because of 9/11, but is a standard procedure."

Only ten years old opera singer... her voice is like an adult's.

Why I love America...

United State of America is the most controversial country in the world. It's dominating power over other countries have made the country lose it's glory in the last decades to an outsider.

Although I debate often on political and other subjects, I do feel that it is my duty to stand up this time and defend the country I chose to live in.

10 years in USA has given me enough insights to be able to tell the world, and to those who never lived here, to those who live here but show no love and respect to the country they raise their children, and to those who complain day by day about their bad life in America.

People, even friends keep calling me Hungarian, as a honest mistake mixing that with my origin. I am from Hungary yes, left that country ten years ago to live and die in USA, but I am NOT Hungarian. Your country of your belonging starts from your heart, not at your birthplace. You can't choose where to born but you can choose where to live and die. I love my family and although they do still live in Hungary and they have no intention to ever leave, me as a "black sheep" decided to take my fate in my hands and decided to choose where my grave will be when the time comes.

Please allow me to tell you why I chose and love this country, why I chose to live and die here, no matter how hard it gets - and trust me it does get hard.
  1. People here do believe in something. They believe in their God or themselves, or their family or their friends, or all together. An American - no not a paper based default American who was born here, or got citizenship by marriage, but a true American who really is one in his/her heart - pursuit his/her dreams, never gives up until achievement or until death. Believes and pursuit, falls and stands up. Falls again, and stands up again.
  2. Following the previous point... you can believe and pursuit your beliefs, practice your religion and you will NOT be ordered and told what to believe in. Read, watch, learn, say, comment, teach whatever you want. You have an open road to walk on and grow. People might place opinions on your beliefs but no law or force will tell you not to do that.
  3. It doesn't matter what kind of job you have, what kind of education, as long as you work hard, you make your keep, you can pay your bills. The secret lies in the first point above, with that you can build a life, have love, family and future, regardless of your social position. The material and financial level of your life obviously may vary on job or education but in general, as long as you work hard, you have a good life.
  4. Technology. See I love technology. I read and learn as much as I can to collect knowledge in this fast evolving science. United State of America is one of the leaders in technology and it's not only available to anyone, but also affordable.
  5. Low taxes, low prices. Daily basic products, food, clothing, communication, transportation is comparatively cheaper in this country. Driving a car with very low gas cost, comparing to European prices. Food, clothing, communication is cheaper than many other countries comparing at the earn/cost balance. Easy life.
  6. People know how to have fun. A family/friend gathering is always fun with Americans - again, Americans in heart, not on paper only - and while there are political or other type of debates occur, it still kept on friendly tone. Joyful games, lot of laugh and good times at a true American party..
  7. Love. While marriage is extremely over rated here, expensive diamond ring, expensive wedding and money often shadows happiness in that, Americans still very romantic people, so love does expresses itself, yes just like in the movies. I know, I have seen it.
It's about the life you lead and have or CAN have, the love you can get or give and the smile and laugh - the true kind - makes you stay and keep on going.

In my ten years I have learned that despite the official media pressured image, a flag and a book itself DOES NOT make this country to choose it as my home. It's about the people around me.
It doesn't matter how bad the world can get, even when things don't go the way I want them in my life and even though sometimes I get sad or feel for a while that I might give up... at the end of the day I still am happy to live in America!

Jesus! Compelling? Yes. True? I don't know, but certainly interesting...

I welcome counter points with facts!

It's about the person next to you...

It's about the person next to you. That's all about. No big words, no religions, no political views. It's about the person next to you in your home, at work, in the bus station, in the club, in the pub, in the theater, on the street, on the bus... it's about the person next to you. Do you care?...

You are beautiful!

A few of those words most Christian tend to forget or ignore

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." - Mat 5: 38-42

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you greet your brethren only, what you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." - Mat 5:43-48

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you." - Luke 6:27-31

"But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to recieve back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most high. For He is kind to the thankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful." - Luke 6:32-36"

So I am asking all the war and vengeance loving blood thirsty Christians... do those lines above familiar to anyone?

Biblical Wisdom from an anonymous Christian

I found this on the internet while i was searching for thoughts about the bible and God. Since this part was an answer to an atheist's question and there were many comments along with it, bad and good, I rather just copy that here to avoid side track input.

"Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the home of her husband's employer.
My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.
The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. Her husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely.
As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant one evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband.
He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment.
Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts. Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny.

He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure.

How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?

Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her Finally, she could stand it no longer. She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.

A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?

"Look at it," he said. "Read what it says."
She read the words, " United States of America .."
"No, not that. Read further."
"One cent?"
"No, keep reading."
"In God we Trust?"

"Yes!"

"And?. . .."
"And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin, I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him. Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray. I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful!"

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I read the words, "In God We Trust," and had to laugh. "Yes, God, I get the message!"

It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful!

And, God is patient.

Thought for the Day:
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

Church to burn books in USA?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100907/ap_on_re_us/quran_burning

What a moron. Doesn't this remind anyone to the Middle Ages when Christian church was burning science books back then?
Or the Nazi Germans in 1933 burning books written by Freud, Einstein, Thomas Mann, Jack London, H.G. Wells, etc?
Or when Stalin burned Jewish books to end the Jewish culture?
Geeze is the world going backwards? Seriously!

Rocky Balboa's Motivation speech

"It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winners done." - Rocky Balboa

Reading the Bible

Started to read the Bible in English from page one. My plan is to read the whole thing this year.
Before anyone start to think that I have gone nuts, just sayin' that I am reading it as a book. Nothing more, nothing less. I've read that thing in Hungarian long time ago, it will be fun to compare if a certain translation can alter literature. - I think it can and the person who does the translation may alter things unwillingly or willingly. I guess we will see. :)

Question of the Day #1

If you can use only one hand and you have no one around you, how do you cut your nails on those fingers?

Barack Obama is your president too!

You either a Democrat, Republican, Communist, Socialist, Fascist, or any other dumb labels out there hating your president, then this is for you to read:

If people here so terribly hate changes, how can they expect that other countries where USA forcing changes are happy about that?

Changing a system is not that nice when you live in that country. I guess we will see how this all will turn out.

This president still has 2 more years. I think he deserves his chance like all the others. Once his term is done and things are worst than the way G. W. Bush left the country then rate him and rank him.

To use a Christian phrase: Only God knows what the future holds. And to add the dollar quote "In God we trust"... so then. all who are so very Christians, why don't you trust in God then and have faith, that things will be just fine? :)

Many people blames Obama on the "mess" this country is in but I'm still not entirely convinced that he created this mess. In two years? Who was the president, when the market cashed? Who started to bail out the banks?

This country has gone down in the last ten years. Who was the president in 8 years out of that ten? Not him.

In 2000 - when I started life here - this country was strong, glowing, great economy, people were happy, party, fun, love, all Americans and the world loved USA. Then in the next following 8 years this country went so badly down that American people were crying for a change.

Here is the chance for that. You may not like it but Obama is your president too, therefore he does deserve a minimum respect and a chance. Have some faith and rate his actions after he is done when you see everything looking back. Just like the previous one. Wasn't everything bad he did, but in overall the end result was terrible.

They have a saying out there: "It's not that easy to clean 8 years of mess". That phrase might have a point.

We will see how his term will end, with what results. Then you and I can get back to this. :) If he screws up then he goes to the bottom on the history of presidents with G. W. Bush and a couple others.

Learning ANY kind of language isn't hard.

English is my second language and I never had English teacher, nor did I go to a school for that.

Human mind is simply capable to learn anything, you just have to get rid of your blocking believes about yourself.

If you really want to learn a language, simply just start to learn it and start to use it.

What I did was, learned words and sentences and read a lot, watched movies, listened radio in English. I think if you just decide to learn and do those simple steps, you definitely will learn.
